X-Men Star James Marsden Reveals if He’s Returning as Cyclops for Doctor Strange 2

Crayen      news      Comments Off on X-Men Star James Marsden Reveals if He’s Returning as Cyclops for Doctor Strange 2

We’re just a month away from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hitting theaters and anticipation for the film — and for what characters it might introduce into the Marvel Cinematic Universe — is growing. With the film taking things into the multiverse, fans can’t help but speculate that it might also see the incorporation of characters from other non-MCU Marvel films much like Spider-Man: No Way Home brought in Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. One of the characters fans would like to see is X-Men hero, Cyclops and now actor James Marsden is addressing whether he will appear in the Doctor Strange sequel.

Speaking with Black Girl Nerds (via The Direct), Marsden said while it would be cool to see the X-Men world collide with the MCU, he’s not appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. He also joked that, for that reason, he also had no plans to see the movie.

“No… I’m not,” Marsden said. “S, I’m not going to see it. [Laughs] I mean, that’d be cool to see those two worlds collide.”

‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ in Development at Paramount

Crayen      news      Comments Off on ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ in Development at Paramount

Less than two months before the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is already in development. The announcement was made during a Viacom Investor Event by the President and CEO of Paramount Pictures & Nickelodeon, Brian Robbins.

The Sonic the Hedgehog film series is based on the fan-favorite video game franchise from Sega. The series follows the adventures of the world’s fastest blue hedgehog as he runs around saving the world from the evil Dr. Robotnik and other villains, and has spanned a number of video games, animated shows, and comic books. The 2020 movie, however, was the first attempt at a live-action adaptation of the franchise, and was by all accounts a huge success, making over $300 million at the box office and getting its sequel greenlit only months after its release.

The original film starred Ben Schwartz as the voice of the titular blue hedgehog, Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, and James Marsden as Sonic’s human friend who helps him out in the film. The upcoming sequel is set to add two fan-favorite characters, with Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Sonic’s fox friend Miles “Tails” Prower and, to everyone’s surprise, Idris Elba as Knuckles the Echidna.

Crayen      news      Comments Off on James Marsden buys Austin home and gushes over ‘small-town feel’

Actor James Marsden, who is known for his role as Cyclops in the “X-Men” movie franchise, in May paid an amount likely around $1.8 million for a five-bedroom, 5,160-square-foot house in the Commons Ford area of Austin.

In December 2020, Marsden, 48, told Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, the hosts of “Live with Kelly and Ryan,” that he had moved to Austin several months earlier, and added that he was renting a home at the time.

“I love it,” he told the show’s hosts, referring to Austin. “I’ve been coming here for 20 years. I have some friends here. I grew up in Oklahoma, all my family’s still there.”

Vanessa Hudgens, James Marsden, Kimiko Glenn Star in Netflix’s ‘My Little Pony: A New Generation’

Crayen      news      Comments Off on Vanessa Hudgens, James Marsden, Kimiko Glenn Star in Netflix’s ‘My Little Pony: A New Generation’

“High School Musical” star Vanessa Hudgens will lead the voice cast of “My Little Pony: A New Generation,” a Netflix film based on the popular children’s toy line.

The animated adventure’s cast will also include Kimiko Glenn (“Orange Is the New Black”) and James Marsden (“Enchanted”), with the two playing Izzy Moonbow and Hitch Trailblazer. Hudgens will put her spin on Sunny Starscout — these ponies have quite the surnames.

Entertainment One is backing the film, which debuts on Netflix on September 24, 2021, at which point it will delight parents and kids by joining a heavy rotation of other animated fare. The film was originally intended to be distributed theatrically by Paramount Pictures, but due to the COVID pandemic, those plans were altered and the project wound up at Netflix.
