Crayen interview Comments Off on James Marsden reveals he almost starred in Magic Mike: ‘Too scared
James Marsden has had many memorable film and TV roles during his almost 30-year career – there’s The Notebook, The X-Men series and Westworld, to name a few – but the actor shared with us that he turned down what could have been his most popular film yet: Magic Mike.
The 48-year-old, who is currently starring in The Boss Baby 2: Family Business, revealed to Yahoo Lifestyle he was “too scared” to go through with the role, admitting it was a “tough” decision for him.
“It was a tough one for me because I was offered the role, and I decided not to do it because it felt like something that could have been cut out of the movie,” he told us. “And I was too scared that they would just cut my couple of scenes and I would still be in the movie as a pretty much naked extra, right?

Crayen interview Comments Off on Interview: James Marsden on recording The Boss Baby sequel during a pandemic; “I made a makeshift studio with duvets and pillows”
Four years after an infant Alec Baldwin steered Dreamworks’ The Boss Baby to over half a billion dollars at the global box office and an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated feature, the troublesome tyke is back in The Boss Baby: Family Business, and he’s bringing his household along for the ride.
Joining Baldwin and fellow returning voice talents Jimmy Kimmel and Lisa Kudrow is James Marsden, the actor voicing the character of Tim, the adult (but for too long) father at the centre of the latest shenanigans. As the film prepares for its Australian release, the actor chatted with our own Peter Gray about how being a father influences his roles, how it was to record during a pandemic, and where he sits with the streaming vs. cinema debate.
I will say one thing about The Boss Baby 2 in that it embraces such random, wild humour, and I really do mean that in the best possible way. It goes for it, in terms of its premise. How did you become involved with it?

Crayen interview Comments Off on James Marsden hints when ‘long-awaited’ sequel Disenchanted will be out
X-Men actor James Marsden, 48, on playing peacemaker as a kid, dragging up for his daughter and the sequel to 2007’s Enchanted.
You’re in the new Boss Baby sequel. Why do you think the first film was so popular?
I have three kids and, when it came out, it was the only thing we watched together for a good three months. That’s not hyperbole – my kids were obsessed.

Crayen audio , interview Comments Off on Empire Podcast #487: Jake Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson, James Marsden
The spice must flow on this week’s Empire Podcast. The spice of chat, that is! We have three belting interviews lined up for you lucky lot this week, as Chris Hewitt talks to The Guilty star Jake Gyllenhaal in which one of them threatens to go topless; Dune‘s Lady Jessica herself, Rebecca Ferguson, during which she and Chris hatch a new get-rich-quick scheme; and James Marsden, star of The Boss Baby 2. And, as the original big screen Cyclops, naturally the interview ends with Chris showing Marsden a picture of Cyclops with an… unusual mask.
Then, in the podbooth, Chris is joined by Helen O’Hara, James Dyer, and Amon Warmann for an epic episode in which they tackle several questions at once, including one that covers the great Eternals Post-Credits Sting Spoilers Controversy. They also discuss the week’s movie news (this was recorded on Wednesday, ahead of the tragic events on the set of Rust), and review new releases The French Dispatch, Dear Evan Hansen, and The Harder They Fall. Oh, and a little film called Dune. Surprisingly, the James-and-Helensplaining is kept to a minimum on this one. That’s what spoiler specials are for. In the meantime, enjoy.

Crayen interview Comments Off on James Marsden won’t take ‘Boss Baby 3’ for granted after ‘Disenchanted’ delays
Watch: James Marsden on Disenchanted and The Boss Baby 3
James Marsden has admitted that the long wait for an Enchanted sequel means he no longer takes follow-up movies for granted.
The 48-year-old star appeared as Prince Edward in the 2007 musical, but has had to wait until this year to complete filming on sequel Disenchanted.
