James Marsden has been added to the Your Friends & Neighbors season two ensemble.

Following the season one premiere last Friday, Apple TV+ announced that Marsden will join season two of the drama series which is currently filming. And the news comes after the series was already renewed for a second season in November. Its season one cast includes Jon Hamm, Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Gravitt and Donovan Colan.

The official logline for season one reads: “After being fired in disgrace, Andrew ‘Coop’ Cooper (Hamm), a hedge fund manager still grappling with his recent divorce, resorts to stealing from the homes of his neighbors in the exceedingly affluent Westmont Village, only to discover that the secrets and affairs hidden behind those wealthy facades might be more dangerous than he ever imagined.”

The original “X-Men” featuring Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique and James Marsden as Cyclops, are set to return in “Avengers: Doomsday,” Marvel Studios announced on Wednesday.

Additionally, Kelsey Grammer will return as Beast, who most recently cameoed in “The Marvels” and previously starred in” X-Men: The Last Stand” at 20th Century Fox. The company made the announcement as part of a livestream revealing the cast for the upcoming film. Production kicks off in London next month.

The “X-Men” film franchise began in 2000 with “X-Men,” directed by Bryan Singer. This first film introduced audiences to the concept of mutants – humans born with genetic superpowers – and focused on the leader of the X-Men, Professor Charles Xavier, and the metal-clawed Logan/Wolverine, as they attempt to make peace with their rival Magneto. It was praised for its serious, character-driven take on the superhero genre.

James Marsden has had a long and versatile career, starring in superhero movies (“X-Men”), sci-fi epics (“Westworld”), comedies (“Jury Duty” “30 Rock”), dramas and rom coms (“27 Dresses,” “Enchanted.”). But when he was talking to The Post about his Hulu show “Paradise,” he admitted there’s one dream role he hasn’t done yet.

“I’ve always loved emulating some of the old crooners, like Bobby Darin and Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. I always thought there were so many interesting stories of Frank Sinatra’s life that could be played. And for whatever reason, you’ve never really seen a movie about him,” Marsden, 51, told The Post.

“To do a biopic like what Jamie Foxx did with Ray Charles would be a lot of fun. I would love to,” he continued. “And you’re actually using your singing voice, as well.”
